Armenia to Georgia, a 280+Km Cross Country Land trip
ARMENIA:
Armenia to Georgia cross-country land trip is about 280+Kms which will take about 6+Hrs including breaks in Tsovagyugh & lunch in Achajur.

Armenia will cover about 210Km which will pass M4 Highway till Achajur the will take the left M16 Highway in Haghtanak then will again take the M6 Highway on the left till Bagratashen - Sadakhlo Border Crossing with Georgia. This will also pass the 2.4Km Dilijan Tunnel.

South Armenia Mountains are filled with trees & one can just imagine the scenery during spring when the scenery are green!!
Road condition is from Fair to Poor in some areas.

GEORGIA:
Bagratashen - Sadakhlo Border Crossing:
• All passengers are to disembark from the vehicle & pass through the passport/ immigration control where the passports are entry stamped. All bags/ luggage are left in the vehicle.
• After passport control, all passengers will board the vehicle till a short distance to the Customs control. All bags/ luggage are taken down & passed through X-ray checks. This also a second immigration/ security checks are made. Note: As per the guide, some are not granted entry to Georgia at this point without any reason. Our batch also encountered where one of the passengers was told to wait without any explanation. He was allowed to enter the country after more than 30 minutes without explanation on why he was told to wait.
• All vehicles entering Georgia will have to secure the mandatory vehicle insurance costing $25 or 65Lari. This is done about 500M away after the customs checks.

Tbilisi, Georgia will be about 73+Km from Bagratashen - Sadakhlo Border Crossing. Road conditions are better than Armenia. Upon passing the border, one can notice the population & houses increase along the road. The following highways are the route to Tbilisi:
• E001 Highway due North from Bagratashen - Sadakhlo Border Crossing till Marneuli
• S6 Highway due North from Marneuli to Tbilisi
