Kenya honours Utumishi fire victims

Kenya has held a requiem mass for the 16 girls who lost their lives in the Utumishi Academy dormitory fire.
On Friday, hundreds of mourners — alongside government officials and religious leaders — gathered in Gilgil to pay their respects. The emotional service comes as the country prepares to release the victims’ bodies to their families for burial, with many still grappling with one of the deadliest school tragedies Kenya has seen in recent years.
