Aurora Menagerie
This particular jam was mostly an attempt to acclimate to a couple of new modules. I am still only beginning to understand the Pico System iii. I also just purchased a Doepfer Sequential Switch and an Intellijel Buff Mult.
I was excited to try using the sequential switch to swap which voice I’m sending a CV signal to. I’m discovering that it’s also enormous fun to have multiple CV signals coming in and to use the switch to swap which sequencing source is driving a singular voice.
Primary units used on this:
Behringer Crave
Behringer Edge
Behringer Victor
Behringer Chaos
Doepfer Sequential Switch
Erica Synths Pico System iii
Make Noise 0-CTRL
Notes:
I had an ascending sequence going on the Crave that had 30 steps, allowing its relationship to the rhythms to evolve over time.
I had three sequences going to the switch: the Crave’s, the 0-CTRL, and one from the Chaos. I let one of the steps on the 0-CTRL advance the selection on the sequential switch. These went to the Victor, which I put into the external audio on the Crave. I gradually shifted the balance of the mix between the Crave’s VCO and the external audio; 1/3 of whose sequence was identical to the Crave’s.
I also had two different bass lines going on the Pico System iii at different tempos. I faded them in and out to let them interact with the Crave’s voice mixtures.
