Desert Tabletop Terrain Pt. 2 - How to Make Sand and Fissures

Hey Folks! In this second video of the desert terrain series I demonstrate how to use tile grout to make sand that will be in scale with your miniatures, as well as how to carve out fissures from expanded polystyrene foam. This tutorial is oriented more towards beginners in the hobby, though I hope everyone will find some useful tips and tricks. Like share and subscribe if you feel so inclined.

Here is a list of the tools and materials used:

- Box cutter
- Mini Hack Saw
- Heat Gun
- Putty Knife
- x2 Spray Bottles

- Keracolor S Sanded Ivory Tile Grout (unsanded is preferable)
- Lighthouse Studios Light Brown Decorative Sand (Hobby Lobby)
- DAP Patching Plaster
- PVA Glue + Water, 1:8 Ratio (I used Elmer's, but for the ultimate scenic cement I'd use Modge Podge + Water at 1:3 with a few drops of ISO Alcohol)
- 91% Isopropyl Alcohol + Water, 1:1 Ratio
- Folk Art Craft Paints:
Terracotta
Raw Sienna
Teddy Bear Tan
Camel
