strabismus surgery recovery time lapse: my eyes for 31 days | healing and results lazy eye surgery

after getting eye muscle surgery to straighten my crossed eyes, I filmed for a few seconds every day for the first month to document my recovery. see the changes in my eye alignment and the gradual improvement of the initial bruising and redness!

more details:
initially, I had a lot of light sensitivity, blurry & double vision, itchiness, and would wake up with a lot of gross crusty stuff to clean away. the crusties stopped around day 6 or 7, and the double vision had improved in my right eye by day 10, my left eye around day 23-25.
while my left eye healed more quickly than my right, almost all pain subsided by day 18-ish.
after 1 month, I still have not been able to return to wearing contact lenses because not all stitches have dissolved
the alignment of my eyes is significantly improved, and changes in my vision allow me to see with both eyes rather than just one at a time as I did prior to having the operation :)
