The Pipa Knot is a unique Chinese Macrame knot that is based on the Figure 8 shape. This historical knot has been around for a long time.
It's been seen frequently on ancient Oriental clothing as a clasp and for decoration.
You can use them as pendant, earrings or key hanger.

The size and length of wire to use depends on the size and number of turns of the knot and your purpose.
If you make a single wire, you can use a wire with a diameter of 0.7 - 0.9mm (21 gauge -19 gauge ). Wire length is 30-50cm ( 12 inch - 20 inch). You can add stone beads to make a pendant

If you make a double wire, you can use a wire with a diameter of 0.5 - 0.7mm (24 gauge -21 gauge ). Wire length is 60 - 100cm ( 24 inch - 40 inch).

In the video I use :
22 gauge ( wire diameter 0.6mm ) : 70cm( 28 inch)
