Thanos Explained - Marvel Comics has a comic book series called The Infinity Gauntlet. Jim Starlin wrote the six-issue limited series, and George Pérez and Ron Lim pencilled it. Between July and December 1991, the Infinity Gauntlet was made available.

Thanos, who has gathered all six Infinity Gems and fastened them to his gauntlet, is the protagonist of the series. He aspires to gain Mistress Death's devotion by using their combined power, which gives him the authority of a god. When Thanos uses his powers to suddenly destroy half of all life in the cosmos, Adam Warlock gathers the last heroes on Earth to battle him.

The Infinity War and The Infinity Crusade are the two follow-ups to the series. The plot of Avengers Infinity War in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was rewritten using the events of the Infinity Gauntlet
story.
