Short Biographies:
After receiving her Master degree from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya; in 2005 Altrerosje Asri joined Petra Christian University and has since been actively engaged in teaching architectural theory, history, and studio courses, with a strong emphasis on symbolic and sacred architecture. Her academic career is rooted in a decade of professional experience in architectural design and construction, including masterplanning projects for the Indonesian Navy (1995–2005). She teaches in several courses in Indonesian and World Architecture History and Theory, Symbolic Architecture Studio, Sacred Architecture, Architecture and Film, and Village Development.
From 2021 to 2025, she led the Architectural History, Theory, and Urban Research Cluster, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and guiding students in critical architectural inquiry. Her commitment to Service-Learning method of Whole Person Education in Architecture education has shaped her teaching and research, particularly through the Mojotrisno Village Development Project, which integrates eco-tourism and sustainable design with community-based learning.
Eka Swadiansa is the chief bureau and principal of Office of Strategic Architecture (OSA), member of Cultural Heritage Advisory Board (TACB) for the governor of East Java, lead curator of SPIRIT_45, and Global University (GU) founding member; as well as recipient of 2009 Tadao Ando Foundation/OFIX, and Terrefarm/SOM fellowship.
Upon graduating from Brawijaya University and working/interned on various companies such as Japan giant: Takenaka Corporation; he established OSA, a small practicing studio with strong research body. Currently his works focuses in the field of cultural heritage management and postcolonial architecture history researches.
Throughout the years he had been invited to present his works on prestigious institutions such as: the MIT, ENSA Paris LV, ENSA Rouen; and exhibited his works on venues around the globe including: INBAR Industry@Shanghai World Expo, Central Glass@Tokyo UIA Congress, Guggenheim Helsinki Exhibition, Le Galerie Librarie du Impressions Paris, and Strelka Institute Moscow Mass Housing Exhibition.
Johannes Adiyanto is an accomplished academia and researcher in Architecture, who holds Undergraduate degree from Universitas Merdeka Malang, as well as Master and Doctoral degrees from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya.
He has been affiliated with Universitas Sriwijaya since April 2006, where he teaches a variety of courses including Introduction to Architecture, History of Architecture, and Methodology of Architectural Design. Adiyanto had delivered numerous keynote speaches and guest lectures on topics such as Modern Indonesian Architecture and Architectural Criticism at various different universities. His recent researches funded by Universitas Sriwijaya, focused on the typo-morphology of old Palembang villages and the analysis of its urban development.
He has authored and edited several books on architectural history and theory including: Fee: be a great person by setting up heathy ecosystem, Cara Menulis Sejarah Arsitektur Indonesia untuk Mahasiswa (translate: How to Write a History of Indonesian Architecture for Students), and Craftgram: Craft – Grammatology.
