Massive African Python Snake Catch & Release - Safari Hunter’s Journal

In this short hunting video of Safari Hunter’s Journal, Steve Scott dives into the nest of a massive man-killing African Python Snake, but not before a dismal attempt to hunt big game in a poached-out area of Cameroon. Watch as he crawls into a python den to pull out a huge, not-too-happy snake over 3 times the size of a man. Would you catch a snake with your bare hands? The big snake measured 18.4 feet and after this catch & release snake hunt Steve vowed to never do that again.

Cameroon is a challenging hunt and that’s when you’re seeing animals. We were after buffalo and the iconic lord derby eland. Watch to see how our hunt camp was burned by poachers, but we didn’t let this deter us. After realizing the hunt was a bust, we set out to find the poachers who were not only causing ill effect to the wildlife but to themselves as well.
