Roy Benavidez was a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army Special Forces who received the Medal of Honor for his actions during the Vietnam War. On May 2, 1968, he saved the lives of at least eight men during a mission near the Cambodian border, despite sustaining 37 separate wounds.
