COOKING WITH AUNTIE LING - ICE RED BEAN | 紅豆冰

材料:
紅豆250g
黃片糖300g
水2.5L
淡奶/花奶


做法:
1.洗乾淨紅豆,浸兩個小時。不浸也可以,只是煮久一點。
2.把水煮開,下紅豆,紅豆軟了就可以,不需要煮到紅豆開花,開花了,紅豆的沙便跑出來,這樣會變成紅豆沙,不是紅豆冰了。
3.下糖,糖溶了,關火,待涼,放進冰箱。
4.吃的時候,杯子加些冰粒,放進紅豆湯和紅豆,加進淡奶,紅豆冰便做好了,或是加進雪糕,雪糕紅豆冰也出來了。

小貼士:
1.如果喜歡多紅豆,多甜的,可以跟這個分量:
紅豆500g,水3L,黃片糖500g
2.加雪糕、仙草(涼粉),便是雪糕涼粉红豆冰。
3.加茜米、芒果、椰汁,便是茜芒椰汁紅豆冰。

Ingredients:

Brown sugar piece 300g
Water 2.5L
Evaporated milk
Ice

Method:
1.Rinse the red bean with water, soak it for 1 hour. If you prefer not to soak it is fine too but will probably require a longer cook time.
2.Bring the pot of water to boil, add red bean and simmer it till soft. Don’t overcook it until the beans bloom, otherwise it will become red bean soup, no longer red bean ice.
3.Add sugar and allow it to melt. Turn the heat off. Let it cool and refrigerate it.
Once it is cooled, it is ready to assembly the drink. Add some ice in the cup. 4.Add some cooked red bean and the soup, add evaporated milk. You may also add a scoop of ice cream for red bean ice with ice cream.

Tips:
1.If you prefer more red bean, or sweeter, you may follow the following measurements:
Red bean 500g
Water 3L
Brown sugar pieces 500g
2.Add ice cream or grass jelly, and it will become ice cream grass jelly red bean ice.
3.Add sago, mango, coconut milk and it will become mango sago coconut milk red bean ice.
