The appeal of the Big Bronze Pilot watch is strong with this one, with a big character and tough look, and at first it seems like the AVI-8 Flyboy Bronze LE (limited to 300) delivers the goods, with a big thick case, a great sandwich dial, big sword hands, and a unique personality! However, the design deviation from a traditional hand-winding movement to a cheap Miyota automatic steers into serious a build quality issue involving the rotor and caseback, which I have been told is now fixed, but not on my example.
