UPDATE: Texas Winter Grid Failure & Tesla Powerwall: One Week Later

An update a week later on our previous episode about the Texas Power Grid Failure and winter storm. Last week we used our Tesla Powerwall and solar panels to stay warm and stay connected during 6-8 inches of snow in Austin, Texas that shut down the city and the state and put millions of lives at risk.

In this episode we respond to a number of topics in the comments section and discuss operating off-grid, the possibility of connecting generators, and furnace impact on the Tesla Powerwall. We look at the statistics the Tesla Energy Gateway provides to determine how best to use the Tesla Solar + Storage Powerwall system.
