Why Is the USS Missouri Still Next to the USS Arizona

I can't be the only one who finds this strange, right? I'm not suggesting anyone should move them — just exploring why someone made sure they never would.

One battleship has been on the bottom of Pearl Harbor since nineteen forty one. Over a thousand men still inside it. The other one ended the war. Japan surrendered on its deck.
In nineteen ninety nine the Navy deliberately parked them four hundred yards apart. Bow facing the wreck. Watching over it. That decision almost didn't happen.

In this video I look at why the USS Missouri ended up next to the USS Arizona — and why neither one is ever going anywhere.
