Know about Aadhaar App | Face Id authentication

During the Aadhaar Samvaad 2025, the new Aadhaar App was launched.

With emphasis on enhancing online authentication processes for Aadhaar, 2-step authentication program was adopted which included the facial recognition feature. Now, with the new Aadhaar App, authentication will be 100% digital and secure enabling privacy. The information through the app can now be accessed in micro milliseconds, benefiting all.

With new Aadhaar app, users will be able to verify their Aadhaar details as easily as making UPI payment using QR code scanning or requesting applications.

Key focus areas for shaping the future of Aadhaar:
- Embracing the AI Revolution: India is currently experiencing an AI revolution. Aadhaar forms the core and foundation of India's DPI. By integrating AI with Aadhaar, the power and impact of DPI can be multiplied significantly.
- Compliance with Data Protection Laws: When Aadhaar was first introduced, there were no specific laws governing data security and privacy. However, with the advent of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, it is essential for Aadhaar to align with these regulations while addressing existing gaps.
