Azam Khan's 'Aankhon Mein Aankhein' Comment On Speaker Rama Devi In LS Sparks Controversy

Lok Sabha on Thursday witnessed a massive uproar after Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Azam Khan made a sexist remark on Rama Devi, who was officiating the proceedings.
While debating on the triple talaq bill in the Lok Sabha on Thursday, Samajwadi Party MP Azam Khan courted controversy as he told Rama Devi, "Aapki aankhon mein aankhein daalke baat karne ka man karta ha [Feel like speaking to you while looking into your eyes]".
When BJP MP Rama Devi objected to Azam Khan’s remark saying that this was not the way to speak, the Samajwadi Party leader replied, "You are like my sister".
Azam Khan’s comments led to an uproar in the Lok Sabha following which the members of the House demanded an apology
