The new SharePoint list agent is rolling out to general availability, promising to help with creating Microsoft Lists in SharePoint and OneDrive. But who is this for? Real users are seeking ways to help wrangle their data into organization, not creating new places to stuff it. At best this is an incomplete tool, at worst it's a tech demo that for some reason has been made a GA feature. In any case, what it is does is technically impressive, but it's unclear how it really helps users with the day-to-day data challenges they actually face. The real winner here is AI in SharePoint, that already can do many of the tasks you might assume List Agent is designed for.
