Martin Scorsese's new western American crime epic starring Leonardo Dicaprio, Robert Deniro, and Lily Gladstone has arrived and simply put they don't make true movies like this anymore. Killers of the Flower Moon is a masterpiece. One of Martin Scorsese's best films ever created and truly represents why Scorsese is one of the best directors to ever live. By adapting and showcasing the Reign of Terror (Osage Tribe Murders) in a visceral, realistic, and haunting manner we are able to come to an understanding of what occurred and make us feel like we were there during that time. With a Western vibe like Red Dead Redemption flown onto the big screen, it's a movie that examines the power, greed, and corruption during this time. In a year with Barbie, Oppenheimer, Taylor Swift Era Tour Experience, Spiderman into the spiderverse, and even A24's Past Lives! Killers of the Flower Moon is one of my favorites of this year and in my eyes the next best picture winner.
