HD: Plow Train Extra clears the rails after Significant Snowstorm

**Please Watch in HD**

12/20/2009

Where's the Train Tracks?

Conrail Shared Assets train WPCA-20 is seen heading Soutbound on the Vineland Secondary on the evening of December 20th, 2009. Conrail decided to run light engines across their territory to clear the rails of snow.

A day before this video, a heavy snow fell throughout the Philadelphia/South Jersey area. Conrail ceased operations for the day and night of the storm and resumed the following day.

Norfolk Southern High Hood GP38-2 #5225 and Norfolk Southern High Hood GP38-2 #5223 were the two units used. Video was filmed near the old RailRoad station in Woodbury, NJ. The plow extra went from Camden, NJ to Deepwater , NJ and then another set of engines went from Camden, NJ to Winslow, NJ.

I let the video roll for a few minutes before the train actually came. If you would like to skip to the good stuff please go to the 2:55 mark.

Check out the old Position Light Signal at the 4:05 mark. The one's in Woodbury are the last remaining in Conrail South Jersey.

Also take note of the house at the 4:20 mark! How would you like to live there?

Thanks for watching! Please take a quick second to comment and rate! Thanks, I appreciate it!
