Embrace – Gravity (Chris Martin)

The genesis of this song is really curious: the song was originally written by Coldplay leader Chris Martin who, after playing it live, decided to generously donate it to his friends Embrace to thank them for the support received from McNamara and his companions when Coldplay were still unknown to the general public and also because, according to Martin himself, the song seemed more suited to Embrace than to his band. The song was also released by Coldplay a year later as the b-side of the single "Talk".

La genesi di questo brano è davvero curiosa: la canzone fu originariamente scritta dal leader dei Coldplay Chris Martin che, dopo averla suonata dal vivo, decise di donarla generosamente ai suoi amici Embrace per ringraziarli del supporto ricevuto da McNamara e compagni quando ancora i Coldplay erano sconosciuti al grande pubblico e anche perché, a detta dello stesso Martin, il brano sembrava più adatto agli Embrace che non alla sua band. Il brano fu comunque realizzato anche dai Coldplay un anno dopo come lato b del singolo “Talk”.
