Remove Sebaceous Filaments like a Dermatologist.

Sebaceous filaments are NORMAL structures that help guide sebum (oils) on to the skin surface.

If you want to minimize their appearance, put down the pore scrapers and pore strips and try these three steps instead:

1. Use a 10% sulfur treatment weekly. Massage on to your nose or anywhere you have sebaceous filaments, leave it on for 10 minutes, then rinse off. Sulfur is a keratolytic & reduces sebum production, and is a great treatment for sebaceous filaments, as well as acne, rosacea and perioral dermatitis. De La Cruz 10% Sulfur Ointment is one of the best affordable products.

2. Use a gentle salicylic acid cleanser in the AM. Pick one like CeraVe SA Renewing Cleanser that also contains soothing actives, like niacinamide & ceramides, to protect the skin barrier.

3. Apply adapalene 0.1% gel in the PM. You can use adapalene (like Differin) on your nose to remove sebaceous filaments, unclog pores & smooth any even texture. Start by applying a few nights per week then work up to nightly. Follow with a moisturizer.

Thank you Arianna for sharing your skin. I hope this helps!
