Cursed object. Gutted the original membrane keyboard to place a Preonic pcb and plate in its place. Had to dremel out some of the controller's internal supports to fit a flat metal base to attach standoffs in order to secure the pcb/plate to the controller. Keyboard parts can come out separately and doesn't interfere with the controller pcb. Left side usb port interfered with the controller's cable so had to flip it to the reverse side of the controller's pcb to make room. Everything works!
