Base M1 MacBook Air Still Going

Hello hello mom and dad meet world-kinda viewers. A friend of ours just asked about what computer they should get now and to last for about 5 years, at least so they are not having to upgrade every year or every other year. That got me to thinking about the M1 MacBook Air. We bought it open box pretty much when it was available in 2020 and have used it ever since. The computer itself is still going and going strong. This is the 8gb of RAM with 256gb SSD base model. Day-to-day task of getting on the internet, checking email, using Office apps, and using Final Cut Pro- it’s still been very usable. The internet and office apps feel the same with our 16” M4 Pro MacBook Pro. The rendering and exporting are definitely way quicker with the M4 Pro. However, with shorter video creations, it’s still very usable. For an entry level M1 from 2020, I think it has held up very well. Check it out and thanks for watching!
