Chula Vista: Police Pursuit Leads To Body Wraps 06222018

An officer was just finishing up with an incident when he saw the suspect do a traffic violation.
He attempted to stop her and the pursuit began in heavy traffic through Palomar St, Broadway, and then to Oxford Ave.
The suspect was giving officers the “Bird” hand gesture as she fled.
She then came into an industrial/retail complex at 623 Palomar St., got out of the car and fled into the Fashion Accessories business. This is a family-owned business that she is related to.
Officers arrested her inside the business without incident.
As an officer was taking her to the Chula Vista Police Station, she managed to slip her handcuffs and started banging on the glass that separates the officer from the suspect.
He and other others were able to put her in a body wrap for her own protection.
