My Wonderful Anaerobic Digester

This machine was built for me by Kealan Gell of Off-Grid Gas in 2012. I've been running it continuously since then, creating fertilizer and methane from the farm's kitchen waste and garden excesses. This video gives a brief description of how the digester operates. My main objective with the digester is to create bio-available fertilizer. For that reason the retention time is longer than if I was operating it for maximum methane production. Over the years we've been experimenting with filtering, pasteurizing and diluting the digestate for use as a hydroponic nutrient solution (digeponics).
I made a mistake while talking, calcium chloride is the desiccant, not calcium carbonate.
