Sky Blue Lake in a day via Miter Basin and Rock Creek

Maybe a last visit to the Sierra before the snow. Running, hiking around from Cottonwood Pass Trail at Horseshoe Meadows then up Rock Creek, across the Miter Basin, up to Sky Blue Lake, and a little walk up towards the unnamed lake above it. But turned around because I was just there to scout the area and it was a long way back. Made for a 30 mile day but only around 5 and a half thousand feet of climbing, no summits. Nice area, lots of climbing potential in every direction and well enough away from the main trails to not see people, especially late in the season.
