Tara Erickson & Aaron Alexander dive into Alice in Borderland Season 3, Episodes 1 & 2 — Netflix’s high-stakes Japanese sci-fi thriller returns September 25, 2025, with a darker, more mysterious chapter.
In these opening episodes, we see Arisu (Kento Yamazaki — Kingdom, Your Lie in April) and Usagi (Tao Tsuchiya — Orange, Rurouni Kenshin) living in the “real world,” married and trying to move on from the horrors of the Borderland. Their fragile peace is shattered when Usagi vanishes, prompting Arisu to return to Borderland, now haunted by memories and drawn by the mysterious influence of a Joker card that signals the games are not over.
We are reintroduced to key faces from the Borderland — Banda (Hayato Isomura) and Yaba (Katsuya Maiguma) — who stayed behind when others escaped. Ann (Ayaka Miyoshi) also returns, her role becoming even more pivotal as Arisu navigates this renewed danger.
