Three.js in FlowFuse Node-RED Dashboard - Part 6: Robot Digital Twin and Welding Simulation
In Part 6 of the Three.js in FlowFuse Node-RED Dashboard series, we'll build Robot Digital Twin and Welding Simulation applications using Three.js, FlowFuse, Node-RED, Blender, and industrial robot models.
What you'll learn:
✅ Load animated GLB robot models in Three.js
✅ Control robot animations from Node-RED
✅ Create Start, Pause, Resume, and Stop functions
✅ Add realistic welding light effects
✅ Convert STEP models from GrabCAD using FreeCAD
✅ Configure robot hierarchy and pivot points in Blender
✅ Build a Spot Welding Robot Digital Twin
✅ Display OEE, production data, and machine status on 3D monitors
✅Integrate tower lamps and spark welding effects
✅ Control multiple welding positions from Node-RED
The final example demonstrates a Spot Welding Station Line Digital Twin where the robot automatically moves between two fixture positions, performs welding operations, and updates production information in real time.
