The fort area is filled with tiny food joints, cafes, shops selling trinkets, and bookstores. The Galle fort also gives one of the most breath-taking landscapes of the shade sun.
Beruwala is one of the places that comes to mind when one thinks of beaches in Sri Lanka.
Situated very close to Bentota and the capital city of Colombo, this is the ideal holiday destination to unwind and let your hair down.

Bentota beach, otherwise known as Ventura Beach, is a beautiful white sandy beach with clear waters that are quite rough and strong at times.

Beruwala is endowed with the wide and scenic Golden Mile beach, an unspoiled golden sand beach beautifully lined with luscious green palm trees on one side and Blue Ocean on the other.
Induruwa Turtle
In this post, I am going to share our incredible experience at the Induruwa Sea Turtle Conservation Project or better known as the Induruwa Turtle Hatchery.
Unawatuna is one of the biggest tourist destinations in Sri Lanka and is the most “famous” beach in the country. It is a lovely banana-shaped beach of golden sand and turquoise water, surrounded by green palm trees!
The Galle lighthouse is the southernmost tip of Galle city and serves as a big tourist attraction right on the water.

After the lighthouse, we headed over to the Galle clock tower to see the actual fort which was first constructed by the Portuguese. The fort was massive and we had a great time exploring that part of history from one of the oldest cities in Sri Lanka.
