2 Samuel Chapter 11
In this chapter, we see how one sin can affect the life of not only the sinner but also those around them. David's sin had major repercussions, but God still extended mercy to him. How many times have we committed hideous acts, but God has given us mercy that we do not deserve?
In the morning it happened that David wrote a letter to Joab and sent it by the hand of Uriah. And he wrote in the letter, saying, “Set Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retreat from him, that he may be struck down and die.”
