Entryway Wood Slat Accent Wall With Seating Area

Transforming a small hallway into a functional and stylish space wasn’t easy… but the final result was worth every minute! In this video, I show you how I built a custom built-in seating area, a shoe storage unit, and a matching slat-wall panel — all inside a tight corridor with a tricky heater in the way.

You’ll see the full process:
Cutting and shaping the foam to fit around the heater
Wrapping the cushion with fabric without any sewing (only hot glue!)
Solving the nightmare “C-curve” corner
Covering the side of the storage unit using leftover wood slats
Adding 3D-printed hangers that perfectly match the slat wall
Hiding silver screws with acoustic panel pieces
Replacing the silver handles with black ones to match the warm black-and-wood theme
Installing budget-friendly frames (and fixing their flaws)

This project took several days, tons of patience, and many mistakes — but in the end, I created a unique, warm, and fully customized entryway that fits our space perfectly.
