Demian Maia Highlights
Demian Maia Baptista is a Brazilian Jiu JItsu Black Belt under Fabio Gurgel. He has attained first place in several tournaments including CBJJO World Cup and ADCC. He is associated with Brasa Clube de Jiu Jitsu. Maia is known for adapting his Jiu Jitsu game to work in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Although, Maia does admit that if you want to compete in MMA that you should not rely on Jiu Jitsu alone, he does show us what a strong BJJ background looks like in the cage. In this video you will often see him takedown his opponents, advance to more dominant positions, and ultimately strangling his opponents. One thing I really want to mention is that Demian Maia has his own YouTube channel now where he gives advice about learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and how to fight in general.

Roger Gracie Highlights
Roger Gracie Gomes is a Brazilian Jiu JItsu Black Belt under Carlos Gracie Junior. He is a 7 time IBJJF World Champion and 3 time IBJJF Absolute World Chamption as well. Not only is he amasing in gi, but he was the first person to ever win ADCC in his wight division and absolute submitting all 8 of his opponents. Roger Gracie has also utilised classic Gracie Jiu Jitsu in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Roger Gracie is known for being one of the greatest Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Athletes of all time. One thing I find fascinating is that he uses traditional Brazilian Jiu Jitsu techniques and positions to win. You will often see him takedown his opponent, pass to mount, and choke them from the mount using a cross choke. Other times, you he will usually take his opponent back as his opponent rolles over from underneath his mount and finishes his opponent with the RNC or bow and arrow choke. He also came back out of Jiu Jitsu Retirement and defeated Buchecha (one of BJJ greatest competitors) via submission in 2017. There is a lot to learn from Roger Gracie.

Andre Galvao Highlights
André Luiz Leite Galvão is a Brazilian Jiu JItsu Black Belt under Luis Dagmar. He also trained for quite a while with Fernando Terere. He is a 5 time IBJJF World Champion. Andre, sometime refered to as "Deco", is and ADCC World champion and 3 time ADCC Superfight Winner. Andre Galvao is known for being one of the greatest Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Athletes of all time. Andre Galvao is a well rounded Jiu Jitsu competitor with good judo, great closed guard, superb guard passing, and specialises in back control. He will often sweep his opponen, pass their guard, take their back, and choke them out. He also uses his kimura trap to take the back as well. Another thing I noticed is a closed guard sweep that takes him into mount that comes out a few times in this video. There is a lot to learn from Andre Galvao.
