National Guard arrives to help residents stranded in Southern California mountains

Countless people remain trapped in their homes from snowfall after a severe winter storm hit Southern California earlier this week. Many residents have lost power and are running low on food and medicine.

Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency for the mountain communities of San Bernardino County on Wednesday as the state office of emergency services works alongside local law enforcement and public safety personnel to provide relief.
