Durham's students say "cut the rent" as fees top £9k | PalTV Reports

Following Durham University's announcement that college accommodation fees will reach £9000 a year for a catered single room for the first time, the Durham SU and JCRs of Durham organised a "Cut the Rent" protest on Palace Green on Saturday.

This protest comes after Palatinate reveals that Durham's single catered room fees are higher than the average rent for student halls in London Universities including LSE, UCL and King's.

PalTV's Factual team attended this protest and spoke to some students about how their views on the rent increase.
