The Day We Walked on Two Feet

Around three million years ago, in the forests of East Africa,
a small ape-like species known as Australopithecus afarensis began to face a world in transformation.

As the climate dried and the forests faded, tall savannas took over the land.
In this open world, hiding in the shade was no longer possible.

To survive, our ancestors climbed down from the trees,
walked on four limbs,
and slowly learned to stand upright to see above the grass —
spotting predators, finding food, and watching each other from afar.

That single act — standing up — would change everything.
It freed the hands that would one day build, create, and shape the world.

🌍 The story of humanity didn’t begin with fire or tools.
It began with a step —
on the ground, beneath an endless African sky.
