[BYOPL:L6a] Scoping rules and nested functions in classic JavaScript
BYOPL course playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIgSR01UTt8OHY8WhAqOmr8EzArJYd5Z0
We describe the two types of scopes in classic JavaScript, namely global scope and local (or function) scope. We explain that classic JavaScript does not support block-level scope. We also explain variable hoisting. Finally, we describe how functions can be nested inside other functions in functional languages like JavaScript.
