🌕Testing on the Series 3 lunar lander continues!
ispace engineers installed infrared heater panels on the Series 3 Lunar Lander structural-thermal development model to simulate the temperatures that direct sunlight ☀️ will expose the spacecraft to during its mission. Without air or an atmosphere to help dissipate heat, spacecraft have to be designed carefully for the harsh environment of deep space.
The Series 3 lander is planned to be used in our fourth mission, currently scheduled for 2027, with the support of Japan’s SBIR program. Check back for more!
