🔥❤️‍🔥🥩 Passion of the Steak

I’m very passionate about my steak as you can see by the veins in my neck 🤷🏻‍♂️ I like sharing with others and sometimes ruin steak for them 😆 My favourite is having two very different steaks and eating them side by side to let people really appreciate the nuances in flavour of the beef.

Steak Tips
My main goal is maximizing crust/browning which is the flavour development (why boiled steaks don’t taste the same) maximum crust is key while maintaining maximum moisture/juice retention for the best texture and bite. I want that wall to wall colour, not a grey band pink then cold red in the middle.

On a gas grill usually ill lower the Grill Grates onto the flavourizer bars for more concentrated heat for a hotter sear closer to the flame.

Paper towel dry your steaks before hitting the grill, storing in paper towel for an hour helps too - this will give you a better sear/crust = flavour otherwise the mosque steams the steak.

Grease the grill with the fat of the steak so no oil is required - its a hot +500f grill and the flavour of burnt vegetable or seed oil is not my idea of delicious.

Rest your steaks in a warm oven (170f) so they’re still hot when you cut them but have time for the juices to reabsorb and not leak all over the cutting board.
