CARNARVON GORGE QUEENSLAND | HIKING | FREE CAMPING | TRAVELLING AUSTRALIA | TROOPY TRAVELLERS

We have spent so much time on the coast lately, so it was time for a change of scenery.

In this episode we head to Carnarvon Gorge, which is situated about 600 km's west of Bundaberg. The journey out to the gorge is dry, arid landscape. We had no real expectations, except that we'd need our hiking books & a sense of adventure!
As we drove into the National park we were blown away by the Oasis. Its diversity, wildlife & history is something we enjoyed thoroughly. We made sure to pack plenty of food and water for the 20+km walk to and from the end of the gorge.
One of the many highlights would have to be the 3500 year old artwork dotted in and around the gorges & caves by the Karingbal & Bidjara.
We definitely recommend the trip out there.
