Smash Burger Grilled Cheese Recipe

This mash up between a grilled cheese and smash burger is the ultimate late-night snack. Made easy with Omaha Steaks tender, pre-smashed burgers, delivering the classic smash burger experience - crispy edges, juicy inside - in just 5 minutes flat!

How to Make a Smash Burger Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Ingredients
4 3.25 oz. Omaha Steaks Smash Burgers, cook from frozen
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
Butter, for bread and pan
8 slices white Texas toast
8 slices American cheese
1/2 cup dill pickles, thinly sliced
Preferred sauce for dipping, optional

Instructions

1. Place frozen burgers in a cast-iron skillet and top with thinly sliced onions. Sear burgers for about 5 minutes. until browned and cooked throughout.
2. Butter the Texas toast, then, in this order, add 1 slice of cheese, the smash burger, sliced pickles, and a second slice of cheese.
3. Add butter to another skillet and bring to medium heat; cook the grilled cheese, flipping halfway through, until the cheese has fully melted and it’s golden on both sides.
4. Serve with your favorite sauce for dipping!
