From my perspective, emotional coordinates are the map points of a character’s interior life in any given moment — the vector formed by what they feel, what they most want, the action they choose to take, the stakes they face if they fail, and the relief or reward if they succeed. Think of them as a compact dossier you can carry into a scene: feeling = compass heading, want = destination, action = chosen route, consequence = cliff-edge on one side, benefit = safe harbor on the other. Together these coordinates situate a character in emotional space so that their behavior and dialogue feel inevitable rather than arbitrary.
