This video shows commercial vehicles being tested both with and without the Bendix® ESP® Electronic Stability Program by Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC, the North American leader in active vehicle safety and braking technologies. Full-stability systems, such as Bendix ESP, are capable of recognizing factors that could lead to truck rollovers and loss-of-control situations, typically faster than a driver could. The technology automatically intervenes in dangerous and threatening situations by de-throttling the engine and selectively applying the vehicle brakes to decrease incident risk and loss of control. Unlike roll-only options that operate optimally on dry surfaces, full-stability systems effectively address the widest range of driving and road conditions, including snow, ice, and slippery surfaces. Bendix designs and delivers this important vehicle safety technology today. Ultimate responsibility for the safe operation of the vehicle remains with the driver at all times.
