HIKE TO LONE PINE LAKE + Our weekend van conversion

We love going outside and finding new places to hike! This hike is the beginning to Mount Whitney!! Lone pine lake is as far as you can go without a permit, we really want to summit this amazing mountain so we started by checking out the area and start of the trail! Also in the first bit of the video is how we convert our dodge caravan into our weekend camper van!

We live in LA and the drive to Lone Pine California is a little over 200 miles. If you don’t have a van that’s ok!! There are tons of budget friendly hotels in Lone Pine! And the town is awesome with its own unique charm.

The trail starts at Whitney Portal, 11miles from Lone Pine. Tons of parking! Just plug into your gps “Mount Whitney Trail Head” or “Whitney Portal” and you’ll find it. It’s super easy! And the hike to the lake is 2.8 miles!
