What I forgot to mention was when we were evacuated from Italy (https://youtu.be/zQKZtEFX8Ng) I noticed my NL residence permit was expired (I thought I had until the end of the month). This was a time when you had to sign a document basically saying you were going home...to where you had legal residency. While I knew I wouldn't have an issue on the NL side since their systems are all connected and they would have quickly seen I have permanent residency...I just didn't have the card. I was so scared in Italy that they wouldn't let me go home!

Since I had the paper from the IND saying they would give me a new card once I make an appointment, I kept that with me the next two times I went to Italy!
