So what is it? An unremarkable entry-level mid-range zoom lens? A landscape photographers’ dream? A cheap underwhelming cousin to the 50-140? A lightweight videographer’s best friend? The perfect travel zoom? A wildlife photography gateway drug? A do it all lens? Rhetorical Questions and bullsh*t aside, the Fujifilm XF 55-200mm f/3.5-4.8 R LM OIS has been called all these things and more by reviewers waxing poetic and slamming this lens for the Youtube ad-revenue 10 minutes at a time, and today I want to cut through some of the white noise and focus on the bigger picture that surrounds this lens through actual daily use.
