When Someone Requests Moody Blues song but You Never Learned it

Someone requested another song that I have never played before. I had to look up the chords and the lyrics on my phone. So at some parts I ended up playing guitar with one hand while holding the phone with the other. The song request this time was Moody Blues Nights in White Satin. I've heard this song a few times before but have never played it until today. After a quick Google search I found some chords with lyrics. For some reason I felt that Nights In White Satin has piano in it, though I can't be sure. So I started live looping with a piano sound, then drums, bass, synth. After basic arrangement was complete you can see me taking a deep breath. Even though this song may not be as challenging as attempting to replicate Steve Vai, it has it's own specific sounds that you have to nail in order for people to recognize the cover. Especially if it involves singing and lyrics.
Again, this was my first time ever performing and singing this song. It was a slow summer night at a local brewery. I think less than ten people were present in the audience. The rest were not present. I am grateful for people listening and enjoying my music and what ever creations I come up with. And sometimes when someone requests a song I have fun attempting to play it. Regardless of final result it's always my version.
