The late June Carter Cash, country royalty if anyone ever deserved that title, is seen here on the Merv Griffin Show in 1980 in a rare appearance without her husband Johnny Cash. She sings "Hello Stranger" then she talks with Merv, Shelly Winters and Charles Grodin about her family, her new book "Among My Klediments," and then she pays homage to her mother Maybelle Carter with a virtuosic auto harp rendition of "San Antonio Rose." Merv Griffin had over 5000 guests appear on his show from 1963-1986.
