Governor Ferguson talks Medicaid cut impacts, new revenue shortfall forecast

Flanked by members of the community and healthcare leaders at the Regency Canyon Lakes Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Kennewick on Thursday, June 26, Democratic Governor Bob Ferguson didn't mince words about the stakes surrounding potential Medicaid cuts proposed in the Federal Government's latest budget bill.

"As many as 200,000 Washingtonians on Medicaid will lose their health coverage in the first year if these budgets are adopted," said Gov. Ferguson. "These cuts would be cruel and, in my view, would be morally wrong for us as a country and as a state."
