🍝 🥕 🍅 Cook with Me- Easy and Healthy Pasta Sauce Recipe - Jovie's Home

Hi, welcome to Jovie's Home!

Today I'm sharing one of my family's favorite healthy pasta sauce recipes. This recipe makes a big portion and feeds my family of four at least two dinners plus one leftover lunch. It freezes well too. I love to bulk up any recipe with as many veggies as I can, and this is an easy recipe to do that with.

If you try it, please let me know what you think! And if you're in The Netherlands, Vegeta is available at Albert Heijn (and probably other places too, but I get mine from AH)

1 Tbs olive oil
1 small onion
2-3 cloves of garlic (more/less to taste)
4 carrots
1 courgette (zucchini)
1 parsnip
2 Tbs Fresh or 1 Tbs dry Italian Seasoning
1/3 cup tomato paste
500 grams ground beef (can use ground chicken/turkey/pork/ground meat substitute if you prefer)
1 tsp salt
2 tsp Vegeta (or use dried broth cubes if Vegeta isn't available)

Add water to make your preferred consistency of sauce. More water = more liquid sauce, less water = thicker sauce.
