Sinovac assures their COVID-19 vaccines are safe for health workers, elderly | ANC

Headstart: Sinovac allays fears its COVID-19 vaccine is unsafe for healthcare workers. Sinovac General Manager Helen Yang says they conducted a phase three trial in Brazil involving 12,000 individuals from the medical sector. She says the results of that trial yielded a 100% efficacy rate for fatal cases and 80% for moderate cases. While Sinovac respects the decision of Philippine regulators regarding the use of its vaccine, Yang maintains their vaccine can be administered to health care workers as well as to senior citizens.
